Starting from below Thurmond Dam, racers will do an all at once start, promptly at 10 am.  Using the guide wire that runs perpendicular to the river, as the starting line, the racers will travel down river for 7 miles, of wide and fairly deep, flat water. The finish line will be the train tracks on the Savannah River.  A designated area of the tracks for the finish line will be marked and will reside on river right. Timers will take the names and bib numbers as you pass through the finish.
