*Post Paddle Party will be closer to Adventura this year so BBQ is not included, reg fee is a bit less this year as a result.  Bring a few bux for the food truck so you can get nourished post race.

Rules & Safety:

The basics: Have a PFD, whistle & water & some kind of nutrition if you need it. Wave start – you guys are really good at knowing who needs to be up front. There will be fewer shallow spots this year since we're running earlier, however, please be very cautious the first mile. We’ll address all these things in the Captain’s Meetings. Please be safe, keep it fun & abide by the WPA standards.

Important tips specific to the course for Stroke the Slough:

Use a weed fin or a rubber fin – seriously.  Consider NOT using a leash because if you fall there could be bramble that you don’t want to get stuck on.  If someone nearby you falls and needs help fetching their board, please be kind.

Race Course

Both races start at Luke Mc Redmond Park.  Both Races end at Redhook Brewery.  The Elite Race turns at Wilmot Gateway, there will be volunteers at the turn around buoy.  The Recreational Race will simply be a downriver from Luke Mc Redmond to Redhook.

Please Note – Luke McRedmond Landing has a drop off spot & a fairly small parking lot. It’s probably best planning to have a buddy drop you @ Luke McRedmond and return your rig to Redhook Brewery (finish). There is also a parking lot across the street nearby Trader Joes or Starbucks; Redmond City Parks doesn't want us to leave our vehicles at Luke McRedmond all day.

If you need to leave your car in Redmond: We will have volunteers running a shuttle following the race. The shuttle will be for humans only, so just find a buddy to watch your gear at the finish and hop the shuttle to bring your car back to Redhook and join the after-party.

Luke McRedmond Landing: 15811 Redmond Way, Redmond

Wilmot Gateway Park: 17301 131st Ave NE, Woodinville WA

Redhook Brewery: 14300 ME 145th Street, Woodinville WA

Although it seems really unlikely that anyone will bother your car in the lots on a Sunday we are not authorized to suggest that you actually leave your car anywhere but Redhook.  STS is not liable for any vandalism.
