"The Destin Waterman Challenge"

Destin, Florida

Lifeguard Spec Individual or Team Relay Race consisting of a:

8k (5 mile) Spec Ski

Surfskis must conform to ILS specifications including the following:

a. Weight: Minimum 18kg (39.68 pounds)

b. Length: Maximum 5.80m (19.03 Feet or 228.3 Inches)

c. Width: Minimum width at the widest point of the hull is 480mm (18.9 inches)

1.2k (3/4 mile) Swim

2k (1.25 mile) 10'6 Prone Paddle Board

Boards must conform to ILS specifications including the following:

a. Weight: Minimum 7.5kg (16.53 pounds)

b. Length: Maximum 3.2m (10’6”)

5k (3.1 mile) Run

***The Ski/Kayak Leg of your team may be an Individual Competitor*** They must be signed up on your team through paddle guru. 

Non-Traditional Individual or Team Relay Race consisting of a:

8k (5 mile) Ski/Kayak

1.2k (3/4 mile) Swim

2k (1.25 mile) Prone Paddle Board

5k (3.1 mile) Run

***The Ski/Kayak Leg of your team may be an Individual Competitor*** They must be signed up on your team through paddle guru.

There will be awards presented for first, second, and third place finishes for Open Male/Female, Age groups Male/Female, and Teams in the Lifeguard Spec category. Also First, Second, and Third in the Open Male/Female and Teams in the Non-traditional category.  

Lunch will be provided for competitors. After party will follow awards, location will be determined at a later date.
