Online Pre-registration opens up. All pre-registration will be done through Paddle Guru. 

Long Course Registration fee $100.00

Short Course Registration fee $50.00


 Thursday June 1st 2023  - 8pm 

Online registration closes. Beach entries will be accepted on the day of the race.

 

Day of the race Saturday June 3rd 2023 Beach Entry fee 

Long Course Beach entry fee $150.00

Short Course Beach entry fee $80.00


 Saturday June 3rd 2023 - RACE DAY-

 

 5:30am 

Pre-Race Check in and Beach entries begin.

Receive your race number and race T-shirt.

 

 6:45am

Pre-Race meeting, safety discussion, and course description.

 

 7:30am - Long Course - 15 miles  

Race Starts – Water start. Beach or water finish depending on the surf


8am - Short Course - 3 miles 

Race Starts – Water start. Beach or water finish depending on the surf 

 

 12:00pm

Race is officially over.

 Post Race Awards & Divisions: 

Awards will be given to the top 3 paddlers in each division on the long course*

Women's open (12, 14 and UL) minimum of 2 for a division* 

Stock (12’) - Men's (18 - 39 ), Almost Legends (40-49), Legend’s (50-59), Kapuna (60 and above)

14’ - Men's (18 - 39 ), Almost Legends (40-49), Legend’s (50-59), Kapuna (60 and above)

Unlimited (over 14’ board) - Men's (18 - 39 ), Almost Legends (40-49), Legend’s (50-59), Kapuna (60 and above)

*There must be a minimum of 5 men and 2 women paddlers to justify a division.

Eligibility:

The South Bay Paddle to open to all men and women 18 years of age and older. Paddlers 17 years of age and under must have a signed parent/guardian release form.

 

Safety:

The South Bay Paddle is a 15-mile paddleboard race.  Each paddler is responsible for supplying themselves with enough fluids and nutrition to complete the 2.5-4.5 hour course in a safe manner. 

The South Bay Paddle will employee three safety boats to aid in the event that an athlete needs emergency assistance.

It should be a great day so make sure to register early to make sure you get a T-Shirt!!!!
