PADDLEFEST GOES VIRTUAL
Following careful consideration, we have decided to cancel our in-person Paddlefest event for 2020 because we are unable to provide a safe and quality experience to our paddlers during the COVID-19 pandemic. While we’ll miss seeing you at the river, we hope you’ll join in our virtual event, Paddle for a Purpose.
We will be offering two virtual races as part of Paddle for a Purpose. Race classes and distances will remain the same for the virtual races. Registration is adjusted to $25 for either distance. Registration is open until August 8.
Race Details
Our race window opens June 20 and concludes August 22. Races must be completed as an out-and-back (2.1 mi or 4.5 mi) for either our 4.2 mi or 9.0 mi race.
Submit your race time via this online form. Be sure to include a link to your activity app (Strava, Map My Run, etc.), documenting your distance and time. Race times must be received by August 22 to be considered for awards.
Races will follow the Waterman Series classifications for paddlecraft with youth, mens, and womens divisions.
*both paddlers must complete registration
The races of Paddle for a Purpose are sponsored by The Explore Kentucky Initiative and Stand Up Paddle Cincinnati, and is a part of the Waterman Series.
All proceeds from Paddle for a Purpose, including the races, support Adventure Crew and their work with 24 schools, serving a roster of almost 1,000 city teens by exposing them to regular outdoor recreation at no-cost.
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES 11:59 pm on August 8th.
