Vortex Downwind Series – Race 3 – Stevenson to Home Valley. June 28th

Skamania County has Entered Phase 3.  This opens the doors to responsibly ran sporting events of 50 people or less. (Note, Hood River County OR and Klickitat County WA are still in Phase 2)

• 50 people max including all staff
• All participants must wear masks while on land.
• All participants must practice 6 foot social distancing rules. No physical contact
• All Participants must wash hands
• Single Crafts only

How it works.

• Registration is $15 to cover permits and Safety boat. full refund if any reason event gets canceled.
• There will be no PRE or POST meetings. Just Arrive. Distance your self from others, and put on the water. This is in accordance with approved Phase 3 guidelines in Skamania County WA
• Race will start at exactly 12:00 Noon Sunday June 28th regardless of conditions.
• Start will be somewhere just outside the bridge at the Stevenson Fairgrounds. Look for the Safety boat. (We will send out a pre-race safety email, exact Course and other instructions a few days before the race)
• The finish will be at the Point at Home Valley. There will be a camera and Timer set up there. you will scream out your name. Odds are we will know who you are as well. (map of this in email to come)
• After you cross the line, go home 😊  We do still love you, however we do not want to encourage gatherings of any kind.
• Sunday Night, A group of locals will watch the finish line video and enter in times while drinking heavily live on a webcast. This has potential to be more entertaining than the race it self

Registration will be open to Locals only 6/18 thru 6/23.

 If it does not sell out at 45 participants, we will open it up to the rest of OR and WA only.
