This is a challenging 15-mile open ocean course down the coast of San Diego from Swamis to Windansea. This event continues to be a favorite among traditional paddlers with its challenging course and the waterman spirit shared by all participants.   Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic social distancing rules will be in effect (details to come) and registration will close 48 hours before race day.  ***NO RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ALLOWED***     The size of the race is capped to 100 racers.

Portions of your race fee go to support two causes we feel strongly about.  One is The Ocean of Hope benefitting the Sarcoma Alliance.  They are a longstanding partner in the paddling community and help out patients in need that are stricken with sarcoma.  In this time of awareness of social injustice we wish to do our part for part of the population that just doesn't have the same opportunities many of us of had.  Just In Time for Foster Youth provides financial support and mentoring to young people transitioning from foster care, assisting them with getting into college or landing first jobs.  Close to 90% of the individuals in San Diego County foster care are minorities.    If you wish to do more, we have set up a donation option in the registration form.  Even if you have already registered, you can go back and add a donation.

This year's race is the 25th consecutive, making it the longest running paddleboard race in the world.  We look forward to seeing you at Swamis.
