Friday, Aug 29:  Sunset SUP n' SIP / Late Registration / Check in
12:00pm-6:00pm – Late Registration / PICK  UP RACER-PACKS -  At Kalavida Surf Shop
6:00pm - Evening Social Paddle with current and former Kings/Queens of Kalamalka

Saturday, Aug 30: The Festival Begins!  Events for everyone
6:00am-8:00am – CHECK IN / Last minute Registration - At the Beach
ALL ATHLETES MUST CHECK IN & PICK UP RACER PACKAGES BY 8am
9:30am – Opening Ceremony
10:00am-3:00pm – Vendor Expo Open


10:00am –  Recreational Race (2.5 Miles)


11:30pm – WikiHolo Short Course (Heats and Finals)


1:30pm – Keiki Holo Kids Race (13 & Under)


2:30pm – Naish N1SCO Relay Races (Naish One Inflatable Boards supplied)

5-8:00pm - Dinner / Awards / Music

Sunday, Aug 31: The Kalamalka Crossing
8:00am – Pre-Race Meeting/Check in at Start line in Oyama (Wood Lake)
9:00am – Start for all 12’ & Under Surfboard style / Junior Athletes (14-18)
9:20am – Start for all 12’6 & Under Displacement boards
9:30am – Start for all 14’ Displacement boards
12:00pm – Awards Presentations for King & Queen of Kalamalka and Open Classes on the beach.

PFD NOTICE -

A Canadian Coast Guard approved Personal Floatation Device (PFD) is

required in order to participate in the Kalamalka Crossing and

Recreational Race.  It can either worn or attached to your board

SUNDAY SHUTTLE SERVICE TO OYAMA - If you need to get your board there

for the start on Sunday, sign up on Saturday during the day.

KING AND QUEEN OF KALAMALKA
($$ Prize Money Class $$)


To qualify for the title of the King and Queen of Kalamalka, you have

to compete in both the WikiHolo Short Course and Kalamalka Crossing Long

Course.  To become the King or Queen, it will require strength, speed,

skill and strategy. Points will be added across the two events with the

Kalamalka Crossing serving as the tie-breaker.

Events included for overall title: 

  • WikiHolo
  • Kalamalka Crossing (14' for Men, 12'6 for Women)

Points System:
1st - 10 pts, 2nd - 8 pts, 3rd - 7 pts, 4th - 6 pts, 5th and below – 5 pts


- Tie Breaker: Kalamalka Crossing finish  If two athletes who are in

contention for the title are tied in points after both events, the

athlete with the highest placing in the Kalamalka Crossing will be the

winner.

King and Queen Overall Title Cash Purse Payout:
King of Kalamalka: $500 for overall winner
Queen of Kalamalka: $500 for overall winner

Payouts for Top 3 in the Kalamalka Crossing
Competitive Men 14' (Kings) and Competitive Women 12'6 (Queens)
1st - $500
2nd - $250
3rd - $100 (in the form of FREE entry for 2015 or Gift Card at Kalavida)
