The course is approximately 5.5 miles long over a 2 lap triangular course. We’ll start off a buoy at the southern tip of Goat Island, travel toward Rose Island buoy R12, head east just south of Rose Island toward the northern tip of Goat Island in Newport Harbor, then south to the start/finish line for lap 2.  There will be boat traffic to deal with, especially around Goat Island. Naturally, the course may be adjusted if the conditions of the day require it.
