Thursday, July 13th, 2017
5:00 - 6:00 PM Pre-Race Packet Pick-up
Location: Bugaboo Bay - 2800 N. Nokomis NE, Alexandria, MN 56308
Big Ole SUP-athon organizers will be available to answer questions and handing out race packets for Friday's paddlers. SUP rentals for Friday's events will also be finalized.
5:30 - 6:00 PM BOS Volunteer Meeting
Location: Bugaboo Bay - 2800 N. Nokomis NE, Alexandria, MN 56308
Big Ole SUP-athon organizers will brief volunteers on the BOS event schedule, volunteers' assignments / locations, and responsibilities.
6:00 - 6:30 PM Mandatory Pre-Race Orientation Meeting
Location: Bugaboo Bay - 2800 N. Nokomis NE, Alexandria, MN 56308
BOS, SVEN & LENA paddlers are required to attend to be informed of any last-minute changes. BOS organizers must receive your completed waiver by 7PM on Thursday 7/13.
6:00 - 9:00 PM THE WEST BAY RELAY!
Location: Bugaboo Bay - 2800 N. Nokomis NE, Alexandria, MN 56308
The West Bay Relay is a 1.0 mi relay course in the West Bay of Lake Le Homme Dieu. Interested parties simply need a friend or three to form 2-person or 4-person teams. A rental craft is provided and paddlers will receive official times and finish line photos via email.
BOS paddlers are encouraged to show their gratitude to Bugaboo Bay for allowing the use of their facilities by enjoying a discounted meal after the meetings.
A free, private and very convenient campsite is available to out-of-town paddlers.

6:00 - 6:20 AM Big Ole SUP-athon Pre-Race Organization
Location: Bugaboo Bay - 2800 N. Nokomis NE, 56308
Paddlers attempting the 26 mile Big Ole SUP-athon are encouraged to coordinate with some newfound friends and carpool out to the East Miltona Public Access (Parson Park).
7:00 AM THE BIG OLE SUP-ATHON!
Location: East Lake Miltona Access - 2470 N. Lake Miltona Dr NE, Miltona, MN 56354
The Big Ole SUP-athon is a 26-mile-long race / recreational tour spanning 13 lakes of Alexandria's Chain of Lakes. Volunteers will available to offer food, water and encouragement every few miles along the route. BOS paddlers are required to maintain a minimum pace of 2.6 MPH, including all rest breaks, to complete the race by 5PM. A 2:30PM cut-off time will be imposed at Rotary Beach and BOS paddlers arriving after 2:30PM will be required to follow the SVEN course and finish at Bugaboo Bay (21.3 mi). The Big Ole SUP-athon ends at the (South) Lake Victoria Public Access (2301 Hazel Hill Rd SE, 56308). Finish line photos will be taken and official times recorded as paddlers reach the shoreline.
8:00 - 8:20 AM SVEN Pre-Race Organization

Paddlers attempting the 11.5 mile SVEN are encouraged to encouraged to coordinate with some newfound friends and carpool out to W. Lake Charlie.
9:00 AM THE SVEN!
Location: West Lake Charlie Access - 5100 Sunset Strip NW, 56308
The SVEN is an 11.5-mile-long race / tour spanning 9 lakes of Alexandria's Chain of Lakes. Volunteers will available to offer food, water, encouragement and assistance to paddlers every few miles along the route. The SVEN ends in the West Bay of Lake Le Homme Dieu at Bugaboo Bay (2800 N. Nokomis NE, 56308). Finish line photos will be taken and official times recorded as paddlers reach the shoreline.
10:00 - 10:20 AM LENA Pre-Race Organization

Paddlers attempting the 5.8 mile LENA are encouraged to encouraged to coordinate with some newfound friends and carpool out to W. Lake Charlie.
11:00 AM THE LENA!
Location: West Lake Charlie Access - 5100 Sunset Strip NW, 56308
The LENA is a 6-mile-long race / tour spanning 6 lakes of Alexandria's Chain of Lakes. Volunteers will available to offer food, water, encouragement and assistance to paddlers every few miles along the route. The LENA ends at the Lake Cowdry Public Access (898 East Lake Cowdry Rd NW, 56308). Finish line photos will be taken and official times recorded as paddlers reach the shoreline.
12:00 - 5:00 PM DEMO IN THE WEST BAY!

Sales Reps from SurfTech, Faction Boardshop / Faction Marine and Lakes Area Paddlesports will be available with new products to demo in Lake L'Homme Dieu.
5:30 - 7:00 PM Post-Race Awards, Promo Item Giveaway & Celebration

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers of each course! Registered paddlers will be eligible for awesome promotional giveaway items like a SUP, paddle, clothing, etc.
