COURSE DESCRIPTION for 12 and 6 mile Surfski, Outrigger Canoe and Paddleboard

Competitors will wet start at Holland Park in Hollywood. At the start they will proceed North in the ICW 2.3 miles toward the Dania Beach Boulevard Bridge.  Immediately south of that bridge, at a large turn buoy, competitors will turn left (to the west) into an east/west channel.  Competitors will proceed .5 miles to the end of the channel and turn left (to the south) to enter North Lake.  Competitors will proceed .3 mile to an island and take a counterclockwise lap of the island.  Competitors will then proceed south 1.6 miles to the end of West Lake and turn left (to the East).  Competitors will then proceed .3 mile to the finish line.  This lap is six miles.

12 mile competitors will take a second lap.
