The Paddle Battle! (3 laps, 23 buoy turns) (Goat Boater Race #6 of 6) - 6K Total Distance
With our very own Wakeboard Surf Waves consistently coming through the course!
The final race of the series ends with the most fun and most technical! Three 2 K laps with 8 buoy turns per lap!
This will be a beach start, beach finish!
Historically paddle battle races are usually in the ocean surf. Even though we are an inland lake, don't despair. We have our Local, Professional Wakesurfer, Evan Feierabend, out there in his new Centurion putting out surf waves for you to play in while making your turns! Paddlers last year told us this was the most fun they have had while racing!
To add to the technicality, we also have a huge U-Shaped inflatable on the beach that you get to run through in-between each lap! Get your legs ready!
A picture is worth a thousand words:
Directly after this race we will be doing our demos and season awards ceremony along with giving away all the monster prizes we have lined up!
All Goat Boater Races are capped at 60 racers and this is a SUP only event.
Windjammer offers great views for you and your family to watch the race and enjoy some beautiful views of Lake Wylie. The Goat Boater Race series is unique in many ways. Most notably our 1 mile social paddle directly after the race for all paddlers and guests.
$600 Cash Purse for this race!
This year, we will be going to Model A after the awards for a season finale party! Model A has a great lunch menu and a full bar. Please plan to join us after the last race finishes for lunch and friendship!
All Goat Boater Races are SUP only event. There will be no other kayaks, OC's or other crafts to dodge.

Testimonial: "Full disclaimer- I am 62 this is only my second year of racing and I get severe pre race pre meeting new people jitters. I participated in the Goat Boater Race series 2021- Megan and Rob embrace the spirit of SUP- all who come are welcome - these values are also evident in their race team. There were so many different participants from elite athletes, to families tandem racing, to people new to the sport and/ or racing. It is fun- serious fun during the race- but fun. The racers cheer each other on - even to the last one coming in - I could feel the positive energy of the group. There is a social paddle after the race - a fun way to get to know each other - get tips- and try other equipment out. Megan and Rob are very knowledgable and can help you navigate the different board types if you are ready to move to a race board (or new race board), Race conditions are closely monitored, there are plenty of safety lookouts so those new to paddling in moving water can feel well protected. There is clear communication to participants which I appreciate pre race day and prior to the race start. If one is an experienced SUP racer or a novice there is a place for all in the Goat Boater Series."
