Racers Meeting at 8:30am

Race begins at 9:05am 

This is a 3 mile flat water race, in the inland waterways and ICWW, rounding the bridge at Lansing Island 

and returning to Oars & Paddles Park.   There are light currents and wind, some boat traffic, and a large 

portion of the race is in no-wake zones. It’s the perfect distance and course to start off on your SUP race 

adventure. Depending on your board and experience, it will take between 45 minutes up to an hour and a 

half to complete the course. This is a great opportunity to get on a board and enjoy the water, enjoy the 

day.

Race begins at 9:05am 

This is a longer flat-water race, 6 miles in the inland waterways and through the Grand Canal between 

Sampson Island and Tortoise Island, returning to Oars & Paddles Park.  Just like the Recreational Race, 

there are currents and wind, but no ocean swells. This 6 mile race it’s the perfect distance and course if 

you’ve been paddling and want a challenge. This is an intermediate to advanced race. Depending on your 

board and experience, it will take between 1 and 2 hours to complete the course. This is a great 

opportunity to get into the racing scene, to push your body, and to see what you can do. Leash and 

hydration are required.

Race begins at 9:00am 

This is a 10 mile flat water race, in the inland waterways and ICWW through the Grand Canal.   This 

course also offers a nice downwind return to Oars & Paddles in the Banana River which normally has 6” 

to 1’ wave action and stronger winds at the northern end of the course..  This course is for the 

experienced paddler.  There are light currents and wind, some boat traffic, but no ocean swells and a 

large portion of the race is in no-wake zones..  You must have a leash (sup only) and have a hydration 

pack.   Ryan Helm gave a blistering 1st place time of 1:43 for the men and Sey Chelle impressed ALL with 

her 1:59 time earning both the KRAKEN SLAYER Awards and the CASH.
