The Super Chill 8.5 Mile is a water start heading out past Eddies on Lake Norman before turning around and completing this course wtih a beach finish. This course if a beautiful run but given the chilly weather it is recommended for the more advanced. Paddle hard to keep warm as you take on this chilly expedition.
The Frosty 5 Mile is a water start and beach finish beginning and ending at Stutts Marina, with a 2.5 mile journey out and 2.5 mile return where you will plunge into the winter waters to help benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This is a great course and given the time of year we do not anticipate boat traffic.
The Polar Express 2 Mile will be similar; however, the first buoy will be at the 1 mile marker, thereafter making your return to the plunge.
We have added the Snowflake Sprint for beginners or less seasoned paddlers who may not want to go the “distance”, yet still want to get your “feet wet” before Spring.
This is a great course with a great cause. The marina is a great location to bring your family and friends as they will have a great view to see the action and support you.
The Polar Plunge is for any and all who wish to be a part of this amazing event and helping to make a difference in the lives of others.
Don’t miss the Tip of the Iceberg After Party and awards scheduled to take place at the Marina with Live Music, Food trucks, Hot Chocolate and more.
